Is Melty free? Price and requirements
Melty and its mashups are free. The real requirements are a Windows PC and legitimate copies of every game involved.
Price
The FAQ answers “What does it cost?” with “Nothing. Melty and its mashups are free.” melty.gg FAQ The Terms add that all mashups are currently free, and that paid mashups, tips or creator payouts, if introduced, would come with additional terms Melty Terms.
Making your own mashup with an AI coding agent is a different matter: the agents themselves use paid plans or API credits, according to the community AI Game Modding Guides AI Game Modding Guides. See make your own.

Which games are supported?
Melty does not publish a fixed list of supported games. What exists is whatever creators have published: on 11 October 2026 the Discover page listed at least 195 distinct mashups, with Minecraft in 109 of them, followed by Elden Ring, Terraria and PEAK melty.gg/discover. For building your own, the community guides say the host game should have a mod loader or script extender, and that online games with anti-cheat are “off the table” AI Game Modding Guides.
Mac, Linux, consoles?
Melty’s site offers only a Windows download melty.gg FAQ. We found no official statement about macOS, Linux, Steam Deck or console support, so we make no claim either way.
